Seminar (10:00 – 11:30 A.M.):  "Public Employees: Honesty, Moral Standards, and Access to Information"

Location: Conference Room of Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library, Second Floor, 318 S. Ramona Ave, Monterey Park, CA 91754.

Speaker: Dr. Stephen K. Ma, Professor of Political Science, California State University, Los Angeles.

 

Dr. Stephen Ma, a twice recipient of the Fulbright Senior Specialists grant, is the Director of the Institute for Executive Leadership at California State University Los Angeles.  Among his many published books are "美国公务员制和道德规范" and "行政伦理: 美国的理论与实践".  His research articles have appeared in Pacific Affairs, Asian Survey, Journal of Contemporary China, International Journal of Public Administration, Asian Journal of Political Science, and Policy Studies Review.  Dr. Ma is a frequent speaker both in the United States and in China.

Tour of the Huntington Library (1:30 – 4:30 P.M.): Visit the beautiful Huntington Library and Botanical Garden.  Ms. Laura Stalker, the Huntington Library’s Head of Collection Development and Reader Services will give us a tour of the Library and the newly opened Chinese Garden.  Tickets to the Huntington are free for seminar attendants and will be distributed at the morning seminar.
